Adam Sandler Hosts Saturday Night Live And Sings Song I Was Fired From SNL Watch Vid

Adam Sandler returned to host the NBC late-night sketch show Saturday Night Live on May 4, 2019, and took viewers down a trip through memory lane. Sandler was a regular cast member between 1990 and 1995, back when he was 23-years-old, but reminded the audience he was fired from the show. SNL went through many changes in the mid-nineties and ultimately fired a number of their cast members including Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and the late Chris Farley.

Saturday Night Live has been around since 1975 and over the years, the show’s ratings have gone up and down. Several notable periods involved Lorne Michaels making drastic moves to save the program. Interestingly, after the firing of the cast members from 1995 and the introduction of all new cast members in 1996, many people remember those who were fired and ultimately replaced as being some of the most comedic, funny, talented, and successful cast members in the show’s history.

Adam Sandler was notorious for writing and singing songs during his stay on Saturday Night Live and every year, those songs trend and go viral. Adam Sandler’s songs “The Chanukah Song” and “The Thanksgiving Song” are played each year during the holiday season.

Sandler returned to Saturday Night Live for the first time in 24 years and brought a wonderfully humorous song with him: “I Was Fired.”

He also enlisted some help from special friends including Chris Rock and Pete Davidson making the opening monologue even better.

Adam Sandler and the late Chris Farley were fired on the same day and Adam made sure he shared his return to SNL with his good friend.

Adam Sandler went on to have a successful career following his time at NBC and reminded the audience of that fact during his song.

In addition to acting and writing, since Adam Sandler left Saturday Night Live, he has added producer to his list of credits. He’s also developed a close relationship with Drew Barrymore and together the pair are responsible for a number of romantic comedies that have become cult classics.

Some of Adam Sandler’s most notable works include the Hotel Transylvania series, Blended, The Water Boy, The Wedding Singer, the Grown Ups series, Click, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and more.
